David King-Guitarded
Background
I am my music. I have been a musician since I was a small child. My musical genre is extensive and includes Country, Blues, Rock and Roll and Rockabilly. I have performed in Los Angeles, Cusco, Belize, Mexico City, Moosejaw Canada, Dutch Harbor Alaska and Key West Florida. During my younger years, I played in a dixieland jazz band and opened for Rick Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Abba, Yellow Balloon, Neil Young, The Mamas and the Papas and Bob Dylan. I performed with Frankie Lane, Great White, Conway Twitty and Cheryl Crow. I am a Master Guitarist, focusing on acoustic and electric guitars and have a three range vocal octave.
Guitarded (definition) My disease.....six strings, acoustic or electric, clean or dirty, upside down, behind my neck or between my legs, no matter.....this is my disease. I eat, sleep and drink guitar. My dreams are full of vintage Gibsons. My truest love is my 1928 Robert Johnson L1. I touch my guitars everyday, put my nose in the rosetta hole and smell the spruce along with the leftover dive bar I played it in the night before. Thousands of women have tried to get between me and my disease to no avail. "When I die, I don't want no coffin. I've thought about it all too often. Just bury me naked with my guitars in hand. Let me be remembered as the "Guitarded Man"." When I play as a single, you can call me David. The second I add another musician, my disease becomes amplified and at that point, we are known as "Guitarded".
